Crusted eyes break themselves awake
As grogginess’ influence inundates and stays
Lingering all throughout insipid days’
Covering them in doubt
Every mandatory step forward
Brings us just a little bit more towards
The New West above inner haze
Ushering in something more than a passing phase
But for so long I’d thought it a myth
When days blend in and melt down quick
That beyond halcyon horizons
An opaqueness is starting to brighten
Shedding light into newer senses
Breaking down our own defenses
Inciting a somniferous trance
